Policy goals

Review the past years, energy useage and greenhouse gas emissions have increased due to increased productivity. To make effective use of energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, TTY Biopharm has plan short-, medium- and long-term goals every year. As of year 2023, we achived the mid-term goal of 2016 to complete the ISO 14064-1 within 10 years, and plan the new energy conservation and carbon reduction goals in 2024:

• Incorporate ISO 14064-1 inventory standards and pass certification.
• 2% annual electricity conservation rate.
• Waste management policy-waste resources recycling to reach 5 tons in total.
• Organize 2 environmental sustainability promotions every year.

In year 2024, following the Bureau of Energy's "Energy Conservation Goals and Implementation Plans for Energy Users", two major TTY manufacturing sites, both Lioudu and Chungli factories, through the 11 energy-saving measures have conserved 455,984.79 kWh of electricity. CO₂ emissions decreased by 225.26 tonCO₂e.

In 2024, we calculated a total of 9,662,800 kWh of outsourced and 583,216 m³ of natural gas consumption at the Liouodu factory; and 5,189,800 kWh and 144,934m³ at the Chungli factory, which combined 77,853,647 MJ with a 0.36% reduction of energy use compared with last year. In the future, TTY shall continue to work to reduce energy consumption and GHG emissions through improved electricity saving measures and higher energy efficacy practice.
